How does an appointment at the General Practitioner work?
Your appointment time is a target time. Patients who need care more urgently always come first. Therefore, you may sometimes have to wait longer for the General Practitioner.

To ensure that you can also receive emergency care outside office hours, the Frisian GPs work together at the GP emergency stations. They alternate the shifts with each other. That is why there is a good chance that you will be helped by a different GP than you are used to.
Your own GP practice will receive a message from us about your contact with Dokterswacht.
Good to know
Telephone contact and a visit to the General Practitioner are reimbursed from the basic insurance. This is not at the expense of your deductible.
